4 Questions with Zelda & Nikki - The Women Behind Beauty Direct Mobile Spa
We decided to ask Zelda and Nikki a few questions to get to know them a bit better. Our aim was to explore their personal experiences and the challenges the women have faced, while also highlighting the role of women in hospitality. The two women's insights provide a valuable perspective for aspiring young women looking to carve their own paths within this field.
#1: What inspired you to start your own mobile spa and what was the concept behind it?
Zelda: "I had previously worked at the beautiful Athenaeum Hotel & Residences in the United Kingdom in the 2003. This is where I initially fell in love with the concept of a mobile spa. I loved the idea of being able travel in-between hotels and doing mobile spa treatments."
#2: As a woman who owns a successful Beauty Mobile Spa, what challenges have you faced since establishing yourself in the beauty and wellness industry?
Nikki: "One of the most challenging things I have found is having to prioritize balancing everything in my life. Between running a growing company, spending time with my family, spouse and the many other responsibilities I have, It can sometimes feel very overwhelming."
#3: What is the first thing you do in the morning that makes you feel like you can conquer it all?
Zelda: "I always start my day as follows: I will wake up in the morning and start off by reading my bible. As soon as I am done, I will then make my way to the kitchen and prepare a cup of coffee (of course) which is then followed with a twenty minute clean routine around the house and then finish with my exercise. After my morning routine, I definitely feel like I can conquer it all!"
#4: What advice would you give to the young ladies out there who are venturing into the Beauty and Wellness industry?
Nikki: "There is a lot of competition within this field, so what I would advice the young ladies that are considering starting their own business is to prioritize spending time training their staff so that they may be able to give the best of the best treatments…and then don’t stop training!"
The two women are not only thriving within the beauty industry but also aiming to expand Beauty Direct Mobile Spa and strengthen their presence in the hospitality industry.
